  1. Write a List – The first thing to do is to make a list. It can be related to sleeping better, improve your relationship, stay motivated, feel healthy, etc.
  2. Set a Goal Related to Drinking – In order to control your drinking habit, you should set a limit for drinking. For instance; if you drink hard drinks 180ml per day, then come down to 90ml then slowly to 60ml. These are considered as standard drinks per day. You can also take help from a doctor to guide you about drinking limitation.
  3. Keep a drinking Diary – Every time you have a drink, make a diary to get information. Doing so will help you to stick with your goals related to controlling your drink.
  4. Get rid of the Alcohol Inside your Home – A great way to limit your drinking if you don’t have alcohol in your house.
  5. Drink Slowly – At the time of drinking, it is vital to drink sip-by-sip. After your drink is finished, make sure to drink water or juice to keep yourself hydrated.
  6. Avoid Drinking for a Day or Two – Try to avoid drinking a day or two in a week. Take a break to check on how you feel physically and emotionally to start reducing your alcohol consumption.
  7. Keep a Look at your Friends and Family Members – If you are at a party where your friends and family members are drinking, try to say no.
